Born and raised near Milan, Alessandro began his career as a hairdresser in the mid-80s, before moving to Paris. There, he taught at the training academy of Jean-Louis David and quickly began assisting him on photo sessions. He next launched his career as an editorial hairstylist, and has ever since accumulated a large portfolio. The latter includes advertising campaigns, celebrity portraits, in addition to his editorial work which has been featured in numerous magazines worldwide (among which Vogue, Marie Claire, Amica, Glamour, ELLE, D Della Repubblica, Velvet in Italy, The Sunday New York Times, Glamour, Harper's Bazaar and Commens&Sense).
Alessandro has collaborated with a wide range of top fashion photographers, including Steve Hiett, Ellen Von Unwerth, Peter Lindbergh, Helmut Newton, Peter Beard, Greg Kadel, Max Cardelli, Azim Haidaryan, Bruno Dayan, Armin Linke, Walter Chin, Giampaolo Barbieri, Jean-Loup Stieff, Hans Feurer, Francoise Roger and countless others.
His philosophy (texture is the base of every kind of hair style, a style which must be individual for each person) has earned him countless clients for advertising: the list includes Pantene, Jacques Dessange, Versace, Dolce&Gabbana, Alessandro Dell'Acqua, Trussardi, Roberto Cavalli, H&M, Christian Lacroix, Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, Swarowsky, Agnès B., Piazza Sempione, Ray-Ban, Campari, Benetton, Sisley, Moschimo, ING Bank, Ungaro.
In addition, he has acted as the key hairstylist for numerous runway shows, such as Roberto Cavalli, Trussardi, Ermanno Scervino, Luisa Beccaria, John Varvatos, Agnès B., Benetton, Sisley, Versace or Gucci.
Alessandro currently splits his time between Paris and Milan.
