A leader in the mens grooming movement and an equally talented womens stylist, Thom Priano began his styling career in the 1970′s working for master photographer Bruce Weber. Priano quickly rose to the top of his field, styling top models and celebrities for global advertising campaigns and leading American and international fashion and style magazines.
Prianos work has appeared in some of the worlds most compelling advertising campaigns, including Abercrombie & Fitch, Banana Republic, Ruehl, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Hollister, Perry Ellis, Sam Edelman, Gilly Hicks and Dolce & Gabbana.
Over the years, his editorial work has been featured in GQ, Details, Mens vogue, Vogue, Italian Vogue, German Vogue, W, Arena Homme, Elle, Allure, Glamour, Vanity Fair, Harpers Bazaar, Rolling Stone and The New York Times.
Photographers including Bruce Weber, Steven Klein, Steven Meisel, Patrick Demarchelier, Annie Leibovitz, Greg Kadel and the late Richard Avedon, Herb Ritts, and Irving Penn all of whom called upon Priano for editorial shoots featuring Hollywoods leading men, women and supermodels.
In recent years, Priano has worked his groomer magic on Taylor Lautner, Eric Bana, Michael Phelps, Zac Efron, Keanu Reeves, Tom Brady, Tyson Beckford, Brad Pitt, Olivier Martinez, Edward Norton, Stephen Colbert, Penn Badgley, Ryan Phillippe and David Bowie.
His expansive editorial work also includes Natalie Portman, Mariah Carey, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Winona Ryder, Ashley Judd, Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Gisele Bundchen, Jessica Stam, Caroline Trentini, Naomi Campbell and Iman.
As an authority in managing thinning hair, Priano communicates his expertise to other stylists and consumers by helping them learn how to groom and counter hair loss, as well as choosing which haircut best suits them based on their facial structure and personal style. He currently is the national Spokesperson for Rogaine.
A lead stylist at the Garren new York Salon, Priano balances his time between his private clients, editorial, runway and advertising work.
